Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy
Effective date: 1 June 2025
AceNEET ("we", "us", "our") respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. This policy explains our IP ownership, how to report infringement of content on our Platform, and our process for handling such reports.
1. Ownership of Platform Content
All content made available through AceNEET (ace-neet.com) and DMCTest (dmctest.com) — including but not limited to:
- Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and their answer explanations,
- Diagrams, illustrations, and images created for the Platform,
- Subject-wise chapter breakdowns and topic structures,
- Video solutions and explanations,
- Software, algorithms, and Platform source code,
- Branding, logos, and trade dress,
— is protected under the Copyright Act 1957 (India), the Trade Marks Act 1999 (India), and other applicable intellectual property laws, and is owned by or exclusively licensed to AceNEET.
Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access content for individual study only. No reproduction, redistribution, sale, or commercial use is permitted without our prior written consent.
2. Third-Party & Public-Domain Content
Some content on the Platform is derived from or references publicly available materials, including NCERT textbooks, NTA (National Testing Agency) syllabus documents, and official government publications. Such content is included in compliance with applicable law including educational fair use provisions under Section 52 of the Copyright Act 1957.
Where third-party content is used under licence, appropriate attribution is provided. If you believe third-party content has been included without adequate authorisation, please report it as described in Section 4 below.
3. User Obligations
By using the Platform you agree that you will not:
- Screenshot, photograph, record, copy, or otherwise capture questions, explanations, or other premium content for distribution outside the Platform.
- Share, upload, or post Platform content on any social media, messaging app, Telegram channel, YouTube video, or other medium.
- Create or distribute derivative works (e.g., question compilations, "leak" files) based on Platform content.
- Use the Platform content to train, fine-tune, or prompt AI or machine-learning models for commercial purposes.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, watermark, or proprietary marking.
Violations will result in immediate account termination and may subject you to civil and criminal liability under the Copyright Act 1957 and the Information Technology Act 2000.
4. Reporting Copyright Infringement (Takedown Request)
If you are a copyright owner and believe that content on our Platform infringes your work, please submit a written notice to our Designated IP Representative. To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:
- Your identification: Your full name, organisation (if applicable), email address, and phone number.
- Description of the copyrighted work: Identify the original work you claim has been infringed (e.g., title of textbook, chapter, or unique question) with sufficient detail.
- Location of the infringing material: The exact URL(s) on our Platform where the allegedly infringing content can be found.
- Good-faith statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

⚠️ Submitting a false or misleading takedown notice may expose you to liability for damages, including legal costs.
5. Our Response to Takedown Notices
Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 3 business days.
- Review the notice and, if valid, disable or remove the allegedly infringing content within 10 business days.
- Notify the user who uploaded or created the content (if applicable) that the content has been removed.
- Provide you with confirmation once the content has been removed.
We reserve the right to decline notices that are incomplete, clearly frivolous, or not made in good faith.
6. Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe content was removed in error or that you have the right to use it, you may submit a counter-notice to ip@ace-neet.com including:
- Your identification (name, email, phone).
- Identification of the removed content and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India, for resolution of any dispute.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 14 days, we may restore the content at our discretion.
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
We take a strict stance on repeat infringement. Any user account found to have infringed third-party intellectual property rights on more than one occasion will be permanently terminated, with no refund of any subscription fees. We may also refer repeat infringers to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.
This policy applies both to users who infringe third-party rights on our Platform, and to those who reproduce our own Platform content without authorisation.
8. Enforcement of Our Own Rights
We actively monitor for unauthorised distribution of our content — including on Telegram, YouTube, WhatsApp groups, and other platforms. Where we find infringement, we will:
- Issue takedown notices to the hosting platform.
- Pursue civil damages under the Copyright Act 1957.
- Report to cybercrime authorities under the Information Technology Act 2000, Section 66.
